These are petals from the roses that my boyfriend gave me for homecoming. They were wilting and I was just about to throw them away, but I figured that they would make for a good still life. These came from the rose that I used in my objects project.

Fresco This is part of my collection of succulents. My other succulents are too large to be represented in this picture; I wouldn't have been able to fit them all into one frame. I didn't have the best lighting for this picture--the sun was about to go down and it was cloudy-- so I had to make do with what I had.

Van Gogh Remake
Palette Knife These are random fruits I found in my house, along with a bowl that I made for my mom when I was 8. I took this picture very close to sunset, and I think that the golden light in the photo really has a good effect on the painting. Since the sun was really low in the sky, the shadows are longer and more disfigured too, which is cool.

Rough Pastels These are different leaves that I found lying around my yard. I put them on white paper to contrast the color of the leaves and the white of the paper. I also took these at sunset and I like how the gold sun brought out more colors onto the leaves, and I like how there are shadows on the leaves because that usually doesn't happen.

These are flowers that I found in my moms garden. There's so much color in the flowers, which is why I thought they would be good to take pictures of. As the sun kept going down, the paper kept picking up a yellow glow, and I didn't know how it would affect the picture but I ended up liking it.
